Zoo trip

On Tuesday room 12,13,14, and 15 went to the zoo!!!It was so much fun, we did lots of things like looking around at how the zoo keepers inspire the zoo animals, we did a scavenger hunt, and a quiz. We went there because our teachers wanted to show us how the zoo keepers inspire the animals, and also as our end of year trip. My favourite part of every thing was seeing the mummy tiger try and soothe the baby tiger, by rocking it back and forth in its mouth, it's crying was sooooooo cute, me and Mrs Gunn only got to see it for a little while because somebody spoiled it by yelling and scaring them away: (!!! The hardest part for me was walking, my feet were giving me so muck pain
My favourite animal was the Graffias

I got to see clipy again

Wool God Eyes

Room 14 has been making god eyes. Mrs Gunn showed use a video clip of a lady making one, we made them as Christmas presents.

How to make a god eye

Materials

  • Wool more than one colour
  • Hot glue gun
  • popsicle sticks 2x
  • scissors
  • buttons
  • sequins
Steps

  1. first get your hot glue gun and very carefully hot glue it together so it's a cross (you might want to get an adult to help you)
  2. Get your coloured wool and wrap in around your sticks going up and down twice, then turn your stick and do the same thing but the other way, now repeat.
  3. Now do a quarter turn and wrap it around the next stick, then do it again to the next stick, and again and again and again, remember to always do a quarter turn.
  4. Eventually you will run out of wool so you can chose to either stop or tie some more string on and keep going.
  5. Once your done prepare for the hard part. . . tying!!! You put your finger on the stick wrap the string around your finger and put the string through your finger and stick then do it again.
If you follow these steps correctly you will be able to make a wool cat eye!!!
